family-run since 2011

Two days on the stove. Tonight on your table.

Mole negro from my grandmother's recipe box. Tamales steamed in banana leaf. Tortillas pressed by hand while your order's on the stove.

Never had mole? Ask for a taste on a chip. It's on us.

The dish people drive across town for

the one everybody asks about

"Isn't mole just chocolate sauce?"

We hear it every week. It doesn't taste like chocolate. It tastes like two days.

We char chilhuacle, mulato, and pasilla chiles on the comal until they're almost black, then grind them with toasted seeds, plantain, and a little Oaxacan chocolate. It comes out smoky, earthy, and barely sweet.

Four things people order twice.

The birria is my husband's family recipe from Jalisco. Everything else came north in my grandmother's handwriting.

Dear neighbor, nothing here comes out of a freezer bag. If we run out of something, we sold the last of today's batch.

grad parties, quinceañeras, office lunches

Nobody leaves hungry.

Guests remember two things about party food: whether it ran out, and whether it was cold. We cook for 10 to 200, and we plan around both.

  • +10% We pack for 10% more people than you order for.
  • Hot It rides in insulated carriers and shows up steaming.
  • :30 We arrive 30 minutes early, so you can stop checking the driveway.

Notes left on the table

"Deep, earthy, a little smoky. I asked for a taste on a chip and ordered the whole plate before I finished chewing."
Priya N.
"The tamales taste like my abuelita made them. I don't say that about restaurants."
Daniel R.
"We always bring our out of town friends here. Then they ask to come back before they fly home."

The comal's already hot.

Save a table for tonight, or call it in and pick it up on your way home. The chips and salsa are ready either way.
